Chef Joanna is a fourth-generation Chinese chef, born and raised in the vibrant city of Kolkata, India. Her culinary journey began at just 14-years0old in her family’s historic restaurant, Eau Chew, where she embraced the rich heritage of Chinese-Indian cuisine. Drawing on her diverse cultural upbringing and deep-rooted family history in the culinary arts, Joanna has dedicated her life to honoring her family’s legacy, blending traditional techniques with her own creative flair. She crafts each dish as a flavorful adventure, inviting clients to experience a unique fusion of flavors and stories passed down through generations.
Her Signature Dish
Chef Joanna’s signature dish is Mui Choy Kauyuk—stewed pork belly with preserved baby mustard, served alongside garlic wok-tossed bok choy and a bowl of steaming hot white rice. This isn’t just comfort food; it’s a legacy dish that has been passed down from her great-grandmother through four generations of her family.
